After 28 years as a customer of Laclede Gas Company, now that I am unemployeed and have been late on my payments of 200.00 a month, which I have paid every month, only being DAYS late. I now have to pay a 1222.97 deposit, making my monthly bill a wopping 545.00.
Now I can't even begin to tell you how many months they over estimated my bills, nor did I complain and I paid those bills. Now keeping in mind I get a megar 250.00 a week in unemployment how do they expect me to meet this heavy obligation they have now put on me. Talk about kicking a dog when it's down... Bow-wow!
If I were months behind or weeks and weeks behind and a new customer... But come on... 28 years as a customer! 1976, where is the justice for being a few days late, while being unemployed, I check on getting some type of assistance and get told sorry you're too late. Now what? Not to mention I live alone, now how much energy do you suppose a single person uses?
The goverment broke Ma-bell up for being a conglomerant. Hey! Uncle Sam!!! What about Laclede!!! When you going to break them up and give us a choice and them some competetion?
