Liberty Van Lines
Breaks contracts, damages your property, makes false promises for compensation, and lies

I hired world moving Company for my move, which they hire some other moving company to perform the move for them. The company that they hired cancelled the day of my move, so they hired Liberty Van Lines.

Liberty Van Lines packed my stuff up, moved it to Georgia where they tried to deliver the furniture early. I had to argue with them that I could not take my things until the scheduled date on the contract.

The day of my deliver, they unpacked my property and I noticed that my brand new coffee table and my office desk were scratched/dented. The movers noted this damage and I signed a paper. They said that someone would contact me.

I unpacked my things and also noticed that my propane tank and my dryer hose were missing. I contacted them about this and they noted it. They said the movers were not back yet with my damage report and when they arrived with it they would contact me.

I waited a couple months no word. I called them and they said that it takes about 90 days for the report to be reviewed. I waited some more and then contacted the BBB.

The report from the BBB, Case number 27028687. The response form Liberty Van Lines was that they had spoken to Mr. Gemmrig and would send him a 10.00 dollar check for the dryer hose and he can pick up the propane tank in Arizona. He needs to send pictures of the damage to them.

Okay, there is no Mr. Gemmrig. I am a woman and they never called me and told me this. Plus I signed paper work for the damage saying that I would be compensated, so why do I now have to send pictures. As for my propane tank why didn't they call me and tell me they could not send it?

I called Irfan Talha (owner) and argued with him about my stuff. He was on the road and said he would call me back. He never did, so I wrote him a letter, saying that I will be compensated for my damage/loss or will seek further action, and I told this to the BBB.

I heard nothing from Liberty Van Lines and I recently received notice from the BBB that they have not responded. The complaint is closed as unresolved.

Now I am seeking any action to help other movers beware of this company. Moving is hard enough without crooks.

I expect my propane tank to be refunded, which I found a price quote for 30.00 plus the 10.00 for the hose and 130.00 for my damage of my brand new coffee table and desk, which is 10%.
