Public Storage Forced to pay for property insurance on storage unit. Unit burglarized and Insurance company refuses to pay due to no forced entry evidence

I secured a unit with Public Storage in Plantation, Fl. Around or on Oct. I had just landed a new job in West Palm Beach, fl. So I needed to store my belongings. When I secured the unit I was told that I needed to have rental insurance. If I did not have my own... I could buy from the Willis Insurance of California. This is a company seperate from Public Storage. It is the only storage insurance company they offered. Also, It was a requirement for my rental agreement. I elected for the minimum 8$ monthly for 2,000$ coverage. On Oct I recieved a call from the Manager stating my lock was missing. The Manager asked me if I had forgotten to place my lock back on my unit. I said no I did not forget anything and that... As a matter of fact, I have not been there for 6 months. The manager also advised she makes 2 lock checks daily. One in the am and one in the pm. All the checks on my unit till that morning were secure. I asked the manager if the cameras caught anyone in or near my unit. I was advised at that time, that my assumption of cameras was in serious error. There are no cameras. The Manager then advised me I will need to make a police report when I came to assess the unit contents. Immediately, I requested a valuable day off from a JOB to make the trip down to Plantation, Fl to investigate my damages. I went the very next day to to file a police report. After I secured a case number from the responding police officer, I went through my belongings and listed what was missing. Once I completed that task I called Willis Insurance Of California. I was given a claim number and advised I will be contacted by an agent within 48 hrs. 24hrs later... I just got off the phone with the Willis Insurance of California Agent. She stated that I needed to have" Physical Proof" of "Forced Entry" Per the "Conditions" There is no lock. The lock is missing. It would have had to been cut off to have been taken off. The lock is still missing at the time of this writing. I then asked the Insurance agent, that if there was a forklift shoved into my unit would that be force enough? Is that what it would take to have a successful claim with Willis Insurance of California? She states that if I do not meet the "Conditions" that my claim will be denied and she hung up on me. With hopes of cooperation, I called the Public Storage Manager. I advised her what this Insurance Company is requesting. The Public Storage manager was dumbfounded. I asked if she could get maintenance personnel to check the roof or surrounding areas for my missing lock. What has me so disgusted, is the fact I am now hearing similar storys from co workers and friends. These include same methods of breakins. Some with locks left behind some with locks missing. None of the Willis Insurance of California insurance claims have been accepted. All denied. Also, ALL of these were involving Public Storage and Willis Insurance of California. I was forced to have insurance as a "requirement" for the rental agreement. As a matter of fact, had I known all this before hand I would have sold most everything or gave it away.
