Skilled home health care workers are being hired on a bi-weekly payment. Workers being mainly Filipinos including myself and well trained are not being paid for services rendered when payment period is due. They are being told that due to lack of funds to hold off from cashing the checks. They realize only later that upon cashing the checks bounce. Not knowing the regulations and business labor laws of the town they are at a loss for the work conducted and consider no recourse.
Since employment time has been but a short time and in some cases up to a few months of employment they do not pursue any law enforcement methods. They simply quit without notice and move on and the cycle begins all over again, allowing APPLE HOME HEALTH to reap Thousands of Dollars from the privately paid clients they have without having to pay for any labor allowing up to 90 percent of the proceeds to be profit minus business expenses.
