I ordered A Nikon over the Internet on Sept 21 thinking I was getting a Nikon lens with it but after I googled the lens it turned out to be a discontinued Sigma lens. So I called back on Thursday and Talked with Alex and he sold me a Nikon camera that was coming with a $500. Nikon 18 to 55 lens with a rapid charger and hi capicity battery for $999. So I got my order on Monday and I got the standard D5100 kit that they are selling for $688. So I call customer service and talked with Marv and he said that the lens I got is not the stardard lens and not the standard battery and they pulled the lens out and swapped them for the upgraded battery and lens. So I called Nikon and I gave them the s/n of the lwns and the model of the battery and they told me that was standard equipment. So I called back and talked with someone the Identified himself as a supervisor. I complained to him that I have been Lied to and ripped off. He said I can return the camera and lose out on a $100 restocking fee because of shipping charges which I paid anyhow. So he was willing to give me the 3 yea proctection plan to make me happy. I told him that was not enough so he offered to thru in a class 10 8 gig sd card and that was all they were willing to do for me. So I took that option but still mad about the disception and flat out lies.
I am considering contacting the states attorney and complaining about what is going on there as instructed on a another web site complaining about this companies doings.
