I paid equine.com to place a 6-month ad to sell my horse. The ad was sold with 6 pics and 1 video, and said I could "manage" my ad. No where did it tell me that I would have to pay to change anything. After a few weeks I tried to "manage" my ad, by updating a pic, but got a window telling me that I would have to pay 1/2 the amount the entire ad cost, just to replace one pic. I re-checked the site's page for it's ad packages and what they give you, as well as the terms, and no where does it say that you only have 3 days to change pics or that they will charge you to do so.
I feel ripped off because I followed the rules that were spelled out to me, but apparently this site has "hidden" rules, that IMO is equal to a scam. I did email them 2 times and left one phone message, and have not heard from them. Now, I cannot even access their site. Not sure if it is just temporarily down or what. People should be aware of this site's scam. It really is too bad, because it is a popular site, not only to sell horses on, but also to find horses to buy. I think they'd be more successful if they would not scam people like this.
