Poor Management - unacceptable behavio

I was employed by Denny's on April 10th. On this day of May 2nd I went into work (as usual) and experienced poor judgement and unacceptable behavior from the manager on duty. First of all, I am a dishwasher, but bust tables and perform specific duties requested by the manager. As far as my complaint - I was approached by a server in regards to busting tables. This particular server built up an attitude with me over a three-dollar tip. I over-heard this server and a co-working server communicating about busting tables and receiving tips when I jokingly stated, " If you don't want it, I'll take it." The server then stated (sarcastically), "I'm tired of hearing you whine, Take It!" She tossed the three dollars on the table. I took the money and continued doing my job. The next day (to get back) she approached me (snobbishly) with a small pan of dishes in-which she could have sat down for me to wash.instead she brought me the pan of dishes obnoxiously with an attitude (from the day before). She reported this petty incident to the manager and we both were pulled into the office to speak with the manager on duty. Without any interuptions - the complaining server was able to express her complaint. I, on the other hand was told I was "raising" my voice (when I wasn't) and to "shut-up and listen". The manager became disrespectful and showed NO interest with hearing my side of the story. I was told to clock out because I was Fired instantly! As I walked out I muttered to myself - "This isn't fair, I can't believe this", she yelled from her office door - "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I then turned around back at her and repeated what she had said to me first. She caused me embarassment to my co-workers, emotional distress, and my job due to her lack of properly handling an employee issue. I felt she should have discussed this matter only between her (the manager), the server and I - Behind Closed Doors where I could have walked off respectively! As an employee, I should feel free to raise an issue of concern without FEAR OF RIPRISAL! The Denny's handbook (chapter 5) speaks of the truth by stating - "We believe Jomar aptly demonstrates its commitment to employees by responding effectively to employee concerns." Also it states, "open communication is essential to a successful work environment and ALL employees should fill free to raise issues of concern."
