I have moved so many times now that I feel like I should go ahead and start my own moving business OR maybe I should just jump into real estate because I already know all the neighborhoods in the immediate area in and around Boca Raton, Florida. If I owned my own moving company one thing I would definitely instill in my employees is the idea that they have to care for peoples furniture as if it was their own. This company FlatRate moving did not care for our belongings, in fact they outright just disregarded our concern while moving us. After all was done and I posted my first blog, someone from their company reached out trying to say that we didn't contract with them and that it was a company who poses as them, they said that happens all the time. Clearly we knew it was them and no one else we have emails, phone calls, and a receipt to prove it all and since then it seems to have gone downhill for us.

Moving can be one of the most stressful times in a persons life, and hiring movers should be a welcome relief just knowing that they will take proper care of your belongings. So it is to my complete disappointment to report that my most recent move with FlatRate Moving came and went with every bit of stress one could possibly imagine. I prepared ahead of time and packed up fragile boxes, emptied my dressers, dis-assembled any furniture pieces to ensure a smooth move, but the pictures paint a very different scenario due to the negligence of FlatRate moving. Mind you the bedroom furniture is not even a year old and was literally built inside my bedroom prior to this move and now its damaged, I am left heartbroken.in addition the so-called movers from FlatRate damaged walls and staircase railings on the way out so I am now also screwed on my security deposit from that rental property because my landlord says I owe her for damages that the moving company did.
They say they want to settle with us, but they are not counting the damage to the property because my landlord did not take pictures, and they are trying to ask us to take down our blog so as not to continue writing about them negatively online. They have offered an unreasonable amount to us for all the aggravation, and damage. This move which was only 2 miles in distance from one location to the next, has ended up costing us more than $3K. So needless to say I am not a happy camper. Why can't I continue to blog about how I feel as it relates to FlatRate movers? Is it not a free country? They have burned us and I feel the need to advise other unsuspecting customers to stay away. As I started to dig deeper I was able to find quite a few negative reviews all over. A friend of mine recommended I use this company and now he is furious that he even referred them to us because they took advantage of us as consumers. Do your homework first before hiring a moving company and stay clear of FlatRate Moving.

Don't trust FlatRate Moving they will definitely take you for a ride, and I am not talking about the kind of ride you go on while at Disney World!!
