It took me awile and about $100 in credits to realize I'd been had. And like most people reporting same the final scam was the charge of $19 to get your info off the site - hopefully?
They employ shills - people who are not as they appear - to get those credits off your account. I wondered why their dating site was the only one that you bought 'credits' from rather than a fixed monthly fee. I soon discovered why!
These shills may be 'regular' people - much like phone-sex operators - who make money by pulling down your credit counts. How do they do it?
They entice you - by responding to your initial emails like they were interested and then carrying on extended conversations. I knew I had been had in a number of ways;
the person I contacted would never use the email address I provided over and over again.
The person was a 66 yr old women supposedly looking to be a kept woman and needing tribute - yet she continued to use the email system - which she would have needed to pay for too if she were a real customer.
I had a private portfolio - she used the key over and over - at first, being a dumbass male, I thought kool, she was digging my pix. Then I realized, no, she was doing it just ever so often to chew up my credits. Of course any normal webofile would have opened the pix once and downloaded them to their computer.
She got confused and slipped up in her story. This was probably one of the keys for this dumbass me. She or could'a been a he, portrayed themselves as a sex fiend wanting to do everything under the sun with me but then an email came through where all of a sudden she was this docile shy babe who hadn't had sex for a long time and requested that I go easy on her. Plus all of a sudden this 'pimp-me-off' lets have public sex everywhere person became super shy and didn't want to take her clothes off during sex, etc.
Also she kept badgering me for a phone number. I told her I never give that out given that I'm married until I check out the contact. But she never relented and kept asking.
When I finally got her/he down to a day and an hour to meet, she would not tell me where, i.E. No address though I suggested all kind of public venues for her safety and who knows probably mine.
She never provided one and she kept asking for that phone number. Then I kinda put all the two's together and realized I had just been had big time as AshleyM once again asked for another $70 of chits.
Then has been reported before was the ultimate of-being-had to having to pay $19 to remove my account. I believe what at one time were legitimate businesses, AFF and all of the hundreds of their shill sites plus the new ones like Ashley Madison, is no more and us philanderer's will have to resort to the old fashion way of meeting girls in bars, getting them drunk and taking advantage of them!!!
Anyway, run away from dear old Ashley as fast as you can if you value your money. BTW I've come to believe that the anti-ashleymadison ads on tv are in fact ad's by ashley madison to get people to come to their site!
