They called me initially promising assistance in getting an SBA loan for my small business. I paid them $400 for help in getting an SBA loan for my startup business. I reviewed the papers they needed me to sign and it was only for permission to review my credit and for authorization on the checks I gave them. They repeatedly said that I'll get all this money back at the end of the year in taxes if I write "Business Credit" in the memo section of the check.
I was supposed to send them more financial information, about 6 pages worth, but I never got around to filling it out and sending it to them.
They call me a week later saying they reviewed the information I sent (which I didn't) and that I qualify for a larger loan, but they need $1400 to write up a special SBA business plan. I mentioned I already have a business plan written and I would supply that to them, but they said it wasn't sufficient.
