Do not deal with this agency. They are in such a rush to license families they bypass VITAL required by Law background checks as they did in our case. They knew we had a CPS record (some items we are contesting) at a DFPS hearing but they decided to go thru the WHOLE process (even letting us be around kids in their care).
At their required PRIDE classes they spend more time telling stories about kids in their care rather than cover REQUIRED items such as the medication class (which is required by DFPS regulations in Texas). At the very end they decided not to license us. Bitter? Yes. But the fact remains they knew we had a CPS record and let us go and interact with children under their care.
The "owner" Mariah Wilde is very soft and well spoken and she attends the training classes and spends 3/4 of her time telling her story on how she started the agency rather than teach the class what's required to become a foster parent.
We initially told them we wanted to wait for our appeal results BEFORE going any further with their processes, they didnt want to hear that. Then in the end they REFUSED to disclose their reason to decline us. Imagine how many things "fell thru the crack" with this agency? DO NOT go thru this agency. My email is [email protected] if anyone wants more info or has any more info on this agency. Lets put a stop to this scam!
I am sure Mariah Wilde will find this post eventually and try to shoot down the facts of these events by saying we are just another "disgruntled family who didn't get licensed" but I have extensive proof and documentation of my claims. I have reported this agency to DFPS child care licensing.
