Marc Robson came to my shop and sold me on switching my services to PFC Payment Solutions promising I would save money on my credit card fees.
I told him EXPLICITLY that I would only do so if I DID NOT HAVE TO SIGN A LONG TERM CONTRACT. Marc Robson promised me up and down that I would not be held to a long term lease or any kind of early termination fees.
My experience with PFC was a nightmare from the get go. They co-mingled funds for two different revenue streams one of which was a major charity fundraiser that I needed to keep separate from my business for reporting purposes. PFC was depositing ALL revenues into my business account and after 4-5 months of phone calls and frustration, they 'fixed' the problem by REVERSING IT so that all revenues were getting deposited into the charity fundraiser account! It was a complete administrative nightmare that took moving mountains to get them to fix. I also had an accounting nightmare on my hands.
I was so frustrated overall with PFC that I decided to cancel my account. This is where the nightmare really started because now PFC's affiliate, First Data, is trying to make me pay for a 4 year contract for a card swiping machine. I explained to them that Marc Robson ensured that I would NOT be under a contract and that I could cancel at any time. First Data could care less and they are threatening to ruin my credit and make me pay dearly.
Meanwhile, Marc lied to me AGAIN saying that he 'no longer worked for PFC' and I needed to contact someone else there. Turns out he works for a PFC reseller called Direct Payment Solutions. So he is still linked to PFC and trying to skirt the issue. I see his name over and over on the Web now as an unethical sales guy who has repeatedly ripped off small business owners.
I don't know where this is going to end. It could be bad for my credit report but I'm going to fight this as hard as I can. Marc Robson is a bad guy. PFC Payment Solutions is a bad company with bad customer service. And First Data could care less about the situation. All they want is their $1,400 OR ELSE, they'll ruin my credit. I can't stress enough that if you get a call or a visit from MARC ROBSON, DIRECT PROCESSING SOLUTIONS, or PFC PAYMENT SOLUTIONS, that you should run in the opposite direction. There is nothing good that will come out of it.
