Marketing SCAM! Waste of TIME and GAS!"Enrty Level Position" College Grads BEWARE!

I am a recent college grad looking for an entry level position in marketing or advertising. I saw Blue Inc. Listed on Career Builder as a marketing firm w / entry level positions & submitted my resume like a dummy on Sunday night. I was contacted the next day & was asked to come in for an interview on Tuesday. They sent me a follow-up email w / instructions for the interview. I thought something was questionable because the email said to dress professionally. What legitimate company gives candidates tips on how to dress? Common sense would tell you to wear professional attire to an interview! I decided to go anyway because I figured I had nothing to lose.

The 1st interview on Tues morning was very brief. The interviewer didn't ask me any in-depth questions. She just looked over my resume and made small talk w / me for about 15 mins, then told me I'd be contacted at 5pm the same day if chosen for a 2nd interview. I have another job (I work evenings) so I told her I wouldn't be able to answer the phone at 5. She then offered me my 2nd interview right there on the spot LOL! She told me they would explain duties and compensation on the 2nd interview, on Friday, which would be a lunch date.

By now I was 99% sure this was a scam, but agreed to go to the 2nd interview mostly because I wanted the free lunch lol. I thought they would take me to some nice fancy restaurant, but instead we went to Subway smh. They explained how I could become a manager in 6-12 months & operate my own office (very unrealistic). They claim that they're looking to open several new locations w/in the next yr, which is why the process is so fast. You go through 2-3 other stages before reaching mgmt level. These stages are commission-based. You are only offered a salary if you make it to mgmt.in the mean time you go door to door selling AT&T U-Verse. Here is the breakdown they gave me regarding compensation:

Enrty Level: 2-4 weeks at this level making $300-500/week from sales
Account Manager: 6-12 months at this level making $500-$1,000/week from sales
Asst. Manager: 3-5 months at this level *$100/day salary kicks in* plus 10% office profit & still doing sales
Manager: 6 figure salary

Sounds good assuming you actually make enough sales. Those numbers are calculated from how many sales they expect you to make a day. There is no guarantee that you will make anything. Also, you are driving your own car on sales calls so you have to subtract the amount you spend on gas & tolls. This was not at all what I was looking for. I am trying to get into advertising, & while advertising is selling, it IS NOT going door to door selling U-Verse products. The person I shadowed was an "account exec" who has been there for about 6 months. He told me that they interview many, but hire few. Well appearantly I was one of the "chosen few" because they called me later that night to offer me the position, but I didn't answer. The next day they emailed me & I never replied.

Huge waste of time & gas! I live in Chicago so it was a 45 min drive, plus I had to pay tolls. All I got was a stupid Subway sandwich. Don't waste your time!
