Delay of Service - Poor Customer Support

On November 13th I purchased two separate lines with Comm South Companies... They promised service in 3-5 days. My first line was activated and ready 2 days later... Impressive huh! Well that's what I thought too. Since that line was activated quickly. I decided to wait a couple of days for the second line's activation.

A couple days later... No dialtone. I then call the company... I used the 800 988 9955 number several times and got messages saying call back due to high call volumes... So it took me another day to realize that I didn't look on the back of the application for a number. I then saw the 800 936 5223 number and finally got through. I then felt a little better. But like they say all good things must come to an end... I was shocked to find that the customer service reps were not helpful, non caring and they were not efficient.in the beginning they were helpful because I wasn't complaining at the time I was just questioning... I find out that my second line had not been processed because there was a question as to whether or not this was an additional line. I then let them know it indeed was an additional line I made that clear in my "special Instructions" box.

So I give them a few days to get that together and 4 days later no dialtone. I call back and they issue a "line test" I was advised to call back in 3 hours... Called back and was advised again to call back in 3 hours... As of today December 3 (two weeks later) I still don't have the results... I then tried another method to get my second line activated ASAP. You see I work from home and a second line is needed in order for me to work. I stressed this situation to the customer service rep who showed no concern... Just a repeated phrase of "Ms. Johnson, I understand"... I then replied you don't understand your phone is activated at your house.

Pretty much I have been given the runaround. Since that time I had requested for atleast 5 repair orders and everytime they didn't show or whatever the situation. The same response was they couldn't get access to my phone box... I stay in an apartment building and I don't know if it was the technicians first day on the job. But all technicians know in order to get access to the phone room in an apartment building you must get it from the rental office.

After several responses of "the technician was unable to get access to the phone box" I decided to "get ugly." I asked to speak to the supervisor on several calls and got the runaround until the rep finally gave in. The supervisor (supposedly having more knowledge and compassion) was no better than the rep. I wouldn't be surprised if there were no supervisors and the script popped up on a customer service reps screen that let them know they were the "acting supervisor" LOL..

In conclusion I would like to say that I still have not had my second line activated and repair order requests I made in the past several days... I was advised by a supervisor that they were not issued. I'm warning you all to go to a cable company, they usually have a local telephone service. There are also other's such as RECONEX, and maybe smaller one's in your local calling area. Good Luck and BE CAREFUL!!!
