With any company, there is always at least one supervisor or manager that creates a hostile work environment and Gorilla Glue has several on site. I find it strange that Gorilla Glue tolerates the same people who make complaints about other workers or temps every two - three months. This in itself creates a hostile work environment that is tolerated and encouraged by managements lack of action. If you hear these people telling dirty joke, dont make the mistake of joining the conversation because they will file a false complaint against you and then you will have to deal with the tyrant of the south!
I am surprised that it has taken this long for people to start complaining about Gorilla Glue on the consumer complaints website. I am glad to see it happening for a company that is so deserving. No, your report is not going to hurt Gorilla Glue in anyway. Nothing you write is going to change them and your report is not going to hurt their reputation. Gorilla Glues reputation is being hurt by one temp worker at a time!
If you are a temp worker hoping to get hired on, then I really feel sorry for you because you are dealing with a company that does not value factory workers and certainly doesnt value the contributions made by temps. The fact that Gorilla Glue goes through so many temp workers every year should tell you something and be a warning that youre dealing with a company that has serious issues. Yes, the double standards at this company are disturbing and yes, you will have to deal with many other types of harassment as well. You will discover soon enough that Gorilla Glues zero tolerance policy is on paper only!
Yes, the manager at Gorilla South is a tyrant. He does not have people skills. He walks around carrying his notebook looking for problems. He documents everything. He will tell you things that are not true to see if you will keep your mouth shut. He will bring up issues from last week, last month, and last year then throws it in your face long after you have forgotten about it. He does have his favorites. He really does not care about employees or temps and has said so many times. If he asks you to document anything, watch out, because that is how he gets people to do his dirty work for him. He is the hostile work environment. He reflects the personality and culture of Gorilla Glue!
