Bekins Moving Solutions, Inc. This company underbid, under delivered, created havoc in my life and eight months later has not completed their toal lack of customer service process

Bekins Van Lines underbid my cross state move. I felt it was underbid as I two other moving bids. I contacted the agent and they sent me an email spelling out their years of service in the industry and they knew what they were doing. Well, that proved totally wrong.

Next, the packers arrived and were not finished in one day because the move was larger than bid. Did I state these appeared to people plucked off the street corner who didn't have a clue how to pack items??? The next day the truck which was too small arrived. Much to the dismay of the movers all was not packed. Of course, the packers had arrived at 11;00 the day before and left immediately at 5:00. Does that tell you anything???

Now the Movers arrived at 10:30 even though I had called to voice my concerns. I had to be out the next day and knew there would be problems and moving wasn't even my vocation. They called in more packers, if you could call them that. They had to repack so many items which were not packed properly. The boxes were not even filled.

Well, by dark that evening about 1/4 of my items were left in the garage. Movers came the next day and my neighbor came by to let them in as I had to go. He said only a few items were marked or packed and they were shortly gone.

The first move came and it was crushed and broken. The driver said he was shocked to see how poorly everything was packed. My big screen HDTV was not even boxed. My Tempurpedic mattress wasn't even boxed. Both of these items were suppose to be boxed in the first truck when loaded according to the movers. Many items were not marked and it made it difficult to figure out which boxes went on which floors. It ended up over 40 items were broken or missing. The total for these items are more than $6,000.

The overflow shipment was promised, promised, promised and never came. I finally contacted the American Moving and Storage Association and filed a complaint. Well, that got things rolling and I soon received my overflow. More items were broken and missing. They incorrectly billed me although I had the driver call them three times. Now I owe them a bit more than $2,000. I did try to pay, but they insisted it was only $300 plus dollars. Both the driver and I thought it must be a write-off for poor customer service which I had asked for.

Well, several months later after filing a complaint and several calls again I did receive another bill. Of course, they never responded to my calls concerning the broken and missing items. All they want is their money. This has now gone on eight months with calls to AMSA and Bekins. They want their money before they respond to my insurance claim with them. After the poor customer service I will not be so stupid to send them their money. I have consulted an attorney, the states Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I have informed Bekins I intend to pay, but I will not pay until I receive a letter stating the amount they will pay for my claim and the date I will receive this check. I want it in writing!!!

I cannot think of a time when I have dealt with a worse company. My friends have moved with cross state movers and never have experienced this. I moved to Texas with and had two large trucks plus storage. They were marvelous!!!

Sorry, …allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
