Two years ago our contact with Northern Leasing was up and we decided not to take credit cards anymore and notified the company and sent the credit card machine back. They said just one more monthly rental would be coming out of the bank the following month. This was the last time we heard from them until I found a debit on our checking account from Northern Leasing.
We contacted them and they said they were audited and found that we owed tax on the rental contact in the amount of $104.00. They also said they mailed us a letter but we never received any correspondance from them. They said we could do nothing about this matter. How can you keep them from doing this again without closing out your bank account and opening a new one?
