High Mountain Valley Transportation (HMVT).in the month I have worked for them has intentionally mislead it's drivers about payroll, miles, and company's financial state.
When payday comes on Friday and there was no deposit, attempts to contact the company for answers resulted in "we'll get back to you" or "I was told to tell you we're working on it" and finally "we paid some other bills instead." Also when drivers decided to go onto another company they were charged "out of route miles" and not informed about it until their final paycheck is deposited; with a smaller than anticipated amount 4 days after payday. When attempts to contact the company to inquire more information I was greeted with hostility and resentment. The out of route miiles were incured when turning in the truck to the company was charged $240 on my last check. After talking to the owner of this small company, he cited dispatch, weather and then finally just blamed payroll.
