Office Manager Extremely Condescending and Inhumane

In all fairness I have given the owner ample amount of time to return my call leaving a message and informing the caller that if I did not hear back from him I would rate his company online. Well, since I am composing this comment one can rightfully assume that the owner did not return my phone call, so here goes… My elderly parents had two seasonal contracts with this company. During the course of a telephone call with this company on February 1, the rudeness and nasty nature of the office manager means that we will NOT be using this company again.

This office manager taunted my parents' caretaker during the course of the conversation by forcing the caretaker to explain a minimum of at least seven times why we needed a second appointment, Ms. “Office Manager” said she still didn't understand. She then went on to say that “maybe I (office manager) have Alzheimer's, please explain it one more time.” This disparaging comment was made in an extremely condescending and inhumane manner.

Since a large part of this company's business consists of seniors, I personally find this to be not only a rude comment to say to anyone on the telephone, but downright ignorant aside from completely unconscionable.

I cannot believe that this how this company allows its employees to treat its customers? My father happens to have Alzheimer's disease and I not only find it to be an ignorant comment, I am deeply offended and angered by it. I left a message to speak with the owner, Al on Wednesday, 2/2 and I was told he was in a meeting.

I called again on Thursday, 2/3 and was told that he is out-of-town indefinitely. I informed the person I spoke with that since he is out-of-town and his return was unknown, that I will be considerate and give him one week from today to return my call. I also explained to the person who answered that if I do not hear back from Al, that I could only assume that he is in complete agreement with how his employees handle customer encounters.

I further explained that if I did not hear back I would be rating his company online and reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and Department of Consumer Affairs. I had hopes that the owner would be a business man with some professional integrity and pride in how his business is conducted on his behalf. After all, employees are the public face of a company and they represent what the company deems to be acceptable business practices. It's just unfortunate to think of how many older people who don't have children to act as their voices have had to deal with this kind of treatment.
