Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company, Inc.in Woodside NY claims to be a fully service fire sprinkler company that can exceed all your sprinkler / installation needs could be further from the truth. Not only does the owner Richard Levine scam his customers, cheat on his taxes but he is a evil tyrant who uses threats, promises of health insurance and pay raises to work his employees as if they are in a third world country.
Mr. Levine and his company has been and is currently being sued by numerous former customers for damages to their properties for faculty work including faculty installations of sprinkler systems and damages maintained during repairs. Mr. Levine is so entrenched in his power trips and lining his pockets at the expense of his employees who make a little over miniumum wage with the promise of raises and benefits that never appear.instead they are met with threats of termination if they dare complain, long hours, added job duties they were not hired to handle such as tripling up on jobs so he can put more money in his pocket and take expensive trips with this family all the while lying to his employees. Mr. Levine's employees have not had any health insurance for themselves or their families in over two years, there has been no pay raises for his employees in that time frame either.
Employee turnover is extremely high due to two factors: If a employee dares speak up and ask for health insurance or a pay raise to met the cost of living they are conviently let go for a bogus reason, if a employee leaves the company on there own free will for a better job Mr. Levine takes this as a person attack and refuses to give said employees a letter of recommandation. If this is not sickening enough Mr. Levine was sued by the National Labor Board of NYC by a former employee he wrongly terminated and he settled at the last minute to avoid being found guilty. He must have a posting in the office viewable by all that he was found GUILTY by the National Labor Board for breaking the law.
Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company also plays with taxes. They give "credit" for jobs that were done can someone explain how you can "credit" a customer's account for 25,000 with no check, no payment? And when one former accountant employee refuses to credit a customer's account for this amount without payment because she knew it was illegal she was told three days later she was being let go do to the economy being bad then two days later a new person was hired to replace her. Mr. Levine is by all means as crooked as they can get. He has the accounting department write out company checks to cover his son's college courses once again writing it off as a business expense not a personal expense.
The worst part of this company is how not just the employees are being treated and scammed but the customers. These people rely on this company to keep in code with the FDNY but are subjected to high mark ups, faculty equipment, faculty installations all so Mr. Levine can turn around and charge them a high amount of money per hour to "fix" there system that was faculty to begin with. Mr. Levine and his company Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company is well known in the industry as being run by a baboon, there is no respect for him by other sprinkler companies as they know he is not only crooked but so full of himself he thinks he can treat his employees, his customers and vendors like trash and get away with it. This company only cares about lining Mr. Levine's pockets. The lawsuits filed against Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company by former customers, construction companies and former employees speak for itself.
How does Mr. Levine and Capitol Fire Sprinkler justify giving all his MALE managers full health insurance the most expensive health insurance on the market which Local Union 202 is aware of and not his employees? Speaking of health insurance Mr. Levine used a former employee to lie for him and try to out the union promising health insurance for all employees if they opted out of the union, threats were implied if there were not enough people who signed people would lose there job. This is currently being made available to the union. Mr. Levine was unsuccessful and fined so he is punishing his employees for his lawsuits by making them do without health insurance and pay raises. Not even a penny, unwilling to work with the union to come up with a contract. He may use the economy as a reason for this but then Mr. Levine explain WHY your company brought out three other companies??? How many companies are running under your building and direction? Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company, Ventre Fire, Three A Fire, Cap Mechanical? All the same company Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company.
If business was so slow and bad at Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company Mr. Levine then why does your managers have the most expensive GHI Family Health Coverage paid by Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company for the past two years? How can you afford all those family vacations to Puerto Rico, Florida and elsewhere? How can you afford to give your managers 10,000 plus Christmas bonus year after year? How can you afford the luxury cars you pay for your managers to keep and drive and there gas expenses??? How can you afford to buy out other sprinkler companies??? Because your customers and employees pay the price. You are a tax cheating, lying, scamming crook. No better than the CEO's who steal from there customers, clients and employees to live the high life. The IRS has been informed of how Mr. Levine has his accounting Department fix the books, the National Labor Board has so many complaints against Mr. Levine.
Ask anyone in the industry about Capitol Fire Sprinkler Company and or Mr. Richard Levine and they will tell you it is one of the worst companies to do business with. IF this company was so good at what they do they would not have so many lawsuits against them and so much employee turn over. The only reason this company is still in business is because what customers still using there service were loyal to Mr. Levine's father who started the company from the ground up and who was a decent man. Mr. Levine thinks he is above the labor laws, above the tax laws and a right upon his self but slowly but surely he is running his father's sweat and blood company to the ground. The day will come when he will have nothing just like he gives to his employees. If you need a good fire sprinkler company do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This is not a disgrunted employee we left on our own to work in a normal real company. We have seen too much not to speak up and save people who need real sprinkler work and people who are looking for a good company to work for not to speak up. They will promise you the sun, moon and stars then you realize you were given empty promises and Mr. Levine has no respect or concern for his employees as they are seen as robots or his customers who he sees as $ to line his bulging pockets.
