My complaint is about Summit Merchant Solutions, their salesman, Marcus 'Smith' and the leasing company they do business with, Lease Finance Group LLC, of Chicago, Il. Marcus came into my store and told me his company, Summit Merchant Solutions could save me money on my credit card services. I told him I was alreadycontrated with another company, Merchant Solutions Int'l, INC. He told me his company would buy out my contract. He stood right in front of my counter and called his supervisor onhis cellphone and gave him the information provided on my other contract, plus made a comment that the two companies had similar names and wondered if they were joined somehow. He then assured me that Summit would be taking care of my other contract. I explained to him, I had been in business for 33 years and was going to retire in two years. I did not want any long term contracts. He told me if I go out of business, the contract would be nulland void. I received the credit card and check machines by UPS and was later contacted on the phone how to set them up. No one from Lease Finance Company even came into my store to hook up the machines or explain to me how to use them. After a couple of days, I called the first company and asked what they wanted me to do with their machine and they had no idea what I was talking about. No one from Summit had even contacted them. Plus when I finally got a copy of the contract I was supposed to have signed, I had signed a portion in the middle of page one and initialed the bottom of page one. The intials went through to page two, a very lengthy contract I had not seen at all. Plus this contract is non-cancelable for 60 months. That's five years. It even has a spot where I apparently agreed, that even upon my death, my heirs would have to accept this contract or pay it off with penalty fees. Why would I ever agree to something as outradgeous as that? I called Summit Merchant Solutions and was told I had a grace period of thirty days to cancel with them, which gave me a week to do so. I called Lease Finance Groups and asked what their grace period was and was told only three days. I hadn't even gotten the machine until after that date had come and gone. I am just a small store and the only employee. I can barely afford one credit card company and machine leasing, let alone now I am stuck paying for two of them! I have never been so duped as I was by this Summit Merchant Solution salesman. He out right lied to me over and over. And to think, I thought he was a nice young man and good looking. Now all I can see is the devil in disguise when I think of how he looked. Any help form someone would be very musch appreciated. Thank You.
