An individual presenting themself as Jesse Katherine contacted me Dec 09 requesting to purchase Avon products from me via my Avon website. They used the name Jesse, Katherine and provided an e-mail address of Lauren. [email protected]. The individual refused to provide their telephone number and refused to contact me via phone after e-mailing them for their contact information. This morning I received this e-mail message:

Good to hear from you. My name is Jesse Katherine, I am from Kentucky but will be coming to Wisconsin for a showbiz. We have prefer to order online but for now all purchases in our company are done with paper payment so i would love you to place the order for me. Below is the list of items needed:

I was skeptical from the beginning because of the name used and the e-mail address didn'tmatch the name. I went on to respond to the e-mail requesting this person send me their phone number so I can correspond with them. I also asked for their event location and date. So far I have not received any feedback. I looked up this company and I have discovered that several Avon Independant sales reps, like myself, have been receiving these type of scam inquiries.
