I paid $17,800.00 to have a pool installed by swimmingpoolnow.com. Their installer, Ed Mara, came to the house and collected the money up front. $13,300.00 was collected via check and $4,500.00 was charged to my credit card by his partner, Boris Blank, over the phone. When I finally realized that no pool was forthcoming, I contacted swimmingpoolnow.com, and Mike Gensey, V.P. Of the company, told me that Ed Mara ripped them off and has nothing to do with their company - and that I signed a contract with Ed Mara, not with them. They also offered to install a pool for $17,495.00 without cement or a winter cover - with $11,000.00 up front. However, Ed Mara would have never darkened my doorstep if it was not for their website, and the installation is supposed to be by the manufacturer, acccording to their website. Well, this is now a criminal and civil matter. My lawyer and police think this company is a big scam, and Ed Mara and this company are in cahoots. Stay away from this company!!!
