I received a message on my answering machine from a "Rich Burns" that sounded like he was my friend and called me "Albert". Even my good friends call me Alberto. I heard the simple message "this is such and such, call me back at..." I have yet to call back, but wanted to go online to see who this might be and ended here.
I see everyone stating they are rip off scam artists, my question is do they do ANY good business. I could possibly have debts. What is this I read about statute of limitations on bill collections? I guess my main concern is if these guys DO approach me with a settlement amount for a loan I might owe on, will it actually take care of that debt.
I had an instance where a debt with Houston cellular crossed over into the new company Cingular Wireless. That debt was settled for a lesser amount, but for the next couple of years I would get calls attempting to collect again on that same debt and I would have to dig up those old papers/receipts to prove it was settled.
I am hoping its not the same thing or related to my recently attempting to apply for a cell phone through Cingular and being turned down. I want to pay my debts without getting scammed by anyone and if CAMCO are the scammers than I want to know.
