I have had an IPass account for over 5 years and due to my error I caused myself to accumalate violations. I was unaware of the process and my minor violations quickly escalated. They were originally under 100 and quickly escalated to 3,000 and 20,000. I tried fighting these fines but was unsuccessful. I was given 2 settlement amounts. One for 240 for the 3,000 and 800 for the 20,000. They both went to collections and I paid the one for 240 and tried to make payment arrangements for the 800. I was told no. I continued to call and I did agree to pay but I couldn't afford the entire 800. Today I finally got the money and I was told due to policy changes I know owe 20,000 for a 150 maybe less original fine. They are suspending my ipass account which is in good standing because of policy changes.insane! The entire 2 years I have been dealing with this now policy changes won't allow me to pay 800. Finally when I have the money and I can pay the settlement amount it changes. I trully believe they are stealing from the poor. I know I owe them but not this outrageous amount. $20,000 is insane! I need help and they are not giving it to me. It is not fair that the government can steal our hard earned money. What else could they steal from Us?
