Sold me fake diamond, i have proof

I purchased a blue and white diamond ring with boscov's diamond bond and insurance.in June6/10, I had it on layaway till 7/10.in Aug 8/10 I had one of the blue diamonds fall out. I took it to Boscov's and even though I had the original reciept with the boscov's coverage (insurance for diamonds) right on the reciept, the manager would not honor the coverage. He told me I had to call and get a paper that said I had the coverage, even though the lady that waited on me when I purchased it was the lady waiting on me to have the ring fixed, as well as the original reciept & box. I figured that it may not cost much and so on the way out of the mall, frustrated I might add, I stopped at Littmans and left my ring to get a price to get it fixed. I thought if it wasnt too much I would just get Littmans to fix it instead of going threw all that hassle! The very next day I recieved a call from the Manager at Littmans, whom is also a Certified Jewelologist, he told me the ring didnt have real diamonds in it and he would not touch that ring in anyway! They would not want to get into any legal fight, realizing that Boscov's had sold me what he called it a TSAVORITE, I think that is how you spell it. He said to stop buy the store, immediately got in the car and went to the mall. I walked in the store and they brought out my ring and appologized and said that they would like to help, but it could be a legal mess for them to get involved. They did however provide me with proof that it was not a diamond. They brought out the machine that tells you whether it was a diamond or not and it clearly indicated it was not even close to being a diamond. Mad, I went to another store and ask they to see if it was a diamond, (I just cant believe what is happening to me by now I might add!) Within 5 minutes, they came back with the same results that Littmans did. It was not a diamond.
So back to Boscov's I went. When I got to the jewlery counter the manager didnt come to the counter, but only told the sales lady, that I could not get my money back, nor could I trade it in, I had to call there diamond bond office to get the certificate before anything could be done. They made it very clear! So, I finally call the office and spoke with a rep there, there called the Boscov's were I purchased it and come to find out the Manager went behind me to Littman's after I left (thinking I was lieing I guess!) And to his surprise They told him yes, it was true, the diamonds in my ring are fake! However even though it is all out on the table, they will not refund my money, they only offered and upgrade which I have to purchase double the ticketed price which means because they only sell on sale jewlery I have to purchase a 900.00 ring. Almost 5 times the price of what i purchased normally! I would think a smart person would not want to purchase any jewlery from someone that just sold them fake diamonds to turn around and purchase more! I am mad, and I cant believe a big company like Boscov's thinks so little of the normal consumer to try and shovel off fake jewlery to the hard working people of this country! No wonder they have money issues. What happened to providing a good quality product for good money! Something that will last many lifetimes. My daughter is an aspireing Olymipian, she works out 4 to 9 hours a day so she can get money to attend college, knowing my husband has been laid off, and we now have to face a shortsale of our house because of the economy and our house original purchase price is now only a little more that halve its original value. Its a wonder if there is any honesty out there anymore, and to a 14 yr old girl what is she learning with these kind of role models to follow! I was told they would extend a layaway so I could do the upgrade, and my reply was, my husband has been laid off, I do not have a job either, having a longer lawaway will not help me, I cant afford to purchase a ring and have payments. They told me that was the only thing they can do for me. I am to at this point to meet the sales lady tomorrow to pick out a ring to put into layaway and the manager would not approve a layaway but a few more weeks that 2 months. This is so sad, pittiful really. The last thing that was said to me was, well do you have a Boscov's card you can put it on that! I hope Ophra see's this!
