Having (at the time) recently opened a small business, my business partner and myself signed up for AT&T Small Business phone and DSL service. Due to "reasons unknown", the service never did work. The DSL never achieved sync and the phone never got past the dial tone (every time you attempted to dial a number, after the first digit the phone just "beeped). I made AT&T aware of this several times, however, the problem was never resolved and we cancelled service.in the meantime, we had already had our business cards (over $150.00 worth) and letterhead printed by a local print shop with the AT&T number. Friday, we received a letter from a collection agency for over $2000.00 in fees and charges from ATT because they "attempted to provide service", threatening litigation. I don't know where you are from, but around here, I can't "Attempt to provide computer repair service", fail, and still expect to get paid for something that never did work to begin with.
