Stephanie Kleyman Failure to Pay, Unreasonable Delay, Stalling Tactics, Fraudulant Business Tactics

Has anybody else had any dealings with a company called Zorro Law Limited out of Northway House, Whetstone? I have been trying to get some sensible compensation for a client for months but the people at Zorro jst do not seem to know what they are doing.

A bit of background: Our client is owed money by a company based in north London. That company has failed to pay despite repeated demands and without offering any justification for non-payment. So our client instructed us to recover the debt which is undisputed and due. The defaulting company is represented by Zorro Law Limited.

As far as I can tell, Zorro law has one principal, a solicitor called Stephanie Kleyman though she doesnt seem to be there all too often and one of two other girls (trainee solicitors) usually run messages back and forth so it's very difficult to get anywhere with them. Even when I do get some type of response, it tends to be from somebody who isnt familiar with the case as the person I actually need is on holiday, or has left the company, or no longer works for their client, etc. There's always some excuse.

My basic frustration is that even though theres a clear agreement concerning the terms of the transaction in question, weve yet to hear, either from Ms. Kleyman or from her client, what exactly the basis of the refusal to pay is. Weve not been presented with a single recognisable legal theory that could be supported by any evidence.in fact, it seems as if the entire argument is very much a case of my client does not feel like paying, but your client cannot likely afford to see this to trial and therefore will eventually settle for significantly less than that to which your client feels entitled. That said, theres not even been an attempt to make an offer, only to drag things on for months without any movement.

I looked up Ms. Kleyman and she appears to have limited experience in litigation and when she does appear, it seems to be with this same or affiliated client. There was an unsuccessful appeal of a high court case where she represented Transview Properties Ltd and there was a company called A Safer Place To Buy, which was also represented by Ms. Kleyman. Both of these companies are based out of (and in the case of Transview Properties own) a north London building called Northway House in Whetstone. When I researched further, it transpired that this building is home to dozens of companies, sharing common directors and company secretaries and that Ms. Kleyman and / or Zorro Law represent each of these. It appears she also serves as their in house solicitor as well as the ostensibly outside counsel through Zorro Law. Some of the company names that come up are Meade Investments, Rovinge International, Eyecare International, Coffee & Tease, McCarthy & Allen, Heathmill, Cash Today, Bodycare International and many others.

It seems to me that Zorro Law is just a company that was created to allow the directors of these related companies (and many times its the same people, Aaron Gershfield, Ivor Gershfield, Ian Harries, Mark Gottleib, Andrew Osman,) a way of not paying for goods and services that they have acquired by deception from people such as our client. If anybody has any similar experiences with this firm or its clients, then I would be most interested in hearing from you. I am about ready to file a complaint with the SRA because there is no merit whatsoever in anything that Zorro Law has said regarding this undisputed debt and it is clear that they have been instructed soley for the purpose of creating additional delay, much to the detriment of our cleint.
