I had a horrible experience with Jacob Caudy from Performance Mobile Tinting, and after seeing a complaint about him under his other company name (Platinum Concepts), I had to write my own. Apparantly he changes company names every few years, and moves around.
My husband contacted Jacob to tint my car windows. He was responsive and quick to make an appointment. He did the windows and I paid him in full, in cash. There were some bubbles in the tint (there usually are when it's first put on), but he said to give it 1-2 weeks and if they didn't disappear or there were any problems, to call him and he would come fix them.
Over the weeks, in looking more closely at my windows, there were bubbles everywhere, scratches and dents in the tint, and on one window, the tint didn't even cover the whole thing. I called Jacob, and so began the run-around.
You could never get him on the phone, and if you were lucky enough to have him respond, he did it through text message. Over the course of a month, the conversations went from "I'll come by and fix it", to "It's not my fault the tint doesn't look good, it's the tint", to "I can't give you a refund, I spent the money" to "Stop harassing me". We weren't harassing him. We were trying to get a straight answer from him and wanted either the tint fixed or a refund. He did horrible work, and basically stole from us.
The kicker is when he threatened my husband... Which we have in a text message. Very classy businessman behavior right? I filed a complaint with the BBB, and wouldn't you know it, somebody already has. Jacob is nothing more than a common thief. Be careful when looking at his reviews on the Internet... They're all written by him. There's even one on Google that says "By Jacob". He also has a nice video posted up which takes place in a shop. Thing is, that's not him in the video, and he doesn't have a shop.
