Amerivan lines showed up at midnight a day after they were supposed to be there. The driver ws friendly-until he got my stuff in his truck. Then he doubled ther price and threatened to drive off with my things b/c I didn't have enough money to pay what they wanted.
I told him to unload my stuff, I wan't paying that, then he told me he still needed $600 for his time. He eventually agreed to do the move for only $800 over the original estimate, and I was so tired by then I agreed, it was past 2 A.M.
My move was cross country, and it was supposed to take 5-7 days. It too 34 days. The office finally gave me the driver's cell phone number because they never knew where he was anyway. The driver would lie to me and say he was an hour or so from my house, then when I asked exactly where he was he would say shit like "Illinois somewhere"-not close to MI.
He would never disclose his exact location, and said it was none of my business. They finally showed up after I told them to keep my stuff, it wasn't worth the hassle. Amerivan lines gave me a paltry $200 discount, but i think only becasue I called every hour on the hour for two weeks solid. The driver was unaware that his price had been cut when he got here and tried to make me pay the full amount.
