Non Delivery of Dell Inspiron - Customer Service

On December 1, I ordered a Dell Inspiron online from Sam's Club. The order details stated that the computer would be delivered in 3-4 weeks. As of this date, December 29, the order has not even been shipped, let alone delivered. For the past two weeks, I have both called and e-mailed Sam's Club, trying to get a straight answer; however, all I have received is an apology and no satisfaction, just the usual response that the order was ready to be shipped. The last straw came this morning when I called, only to find out that there was a problem with my order, that Dell was under the impression that my computer was to be delivered in late January. The Sam's Club person I spoke to said that she would try to correct this and that an e-mail would be sent to me when the matter was resolved (2-3 days from now).

This computer was supposed to be a Christmas gift, and I'm not merry. I told the agent that never again would I order online from Sam's Club. I also said that if the e-mail that is supposed to be sent to me doesn't say that my order is on its way, I would like to cancel the order. Of course, to do this I need "permission" from Sam's Club. If I had spent an extra hundred dollars or so and ordered directly from Dell, I would have received my computer in 2-3 days, not two months. I have learned that the old adage "penny wise but pound foolish" is still true today.
