Somewhere in the end of March/beginning of April, Kevin Gooslby told me that he was going through hard times because he could not find work. His lack of work caused him to be behind in rent, his gas cut off, and no food in his home. I bough him over $60 of groceries and we discussed a project he could do for me. I hired him for a project which consisted of him editing 4 pictures. I also left specific editing instructions. His advertised price on his facebook page said $200. After Kevin had taken the pictures, he had tried to charge me $500 for his services. When I explained to him that the price he was asking was absurd, he told me he needed $500 to catch up on bills and was wondering, as a friend, if I could give it to him because he was going through a hard time. I told him no. As a friend, I agreed to give him $350, which was $100 more than he advertised, because I was trying to be kind. I didn't appreciate his price gouging. He also advertised that his shoots would come with a makeup artist. This also didn't happen. I did my own make-up.
