Having to move to Pa from Colorado I choose a moving company that was based on the service my mother recieved. The inital contact person was very professianal very neat, and very reassuring that my move would be painless. Ha the joke was on me. The ground outside my house was a bit muddy, after it was all loaded the inside was just as muddy. The one mover smelled like he had not showered in days if even months. Then the driver started tagging my stuf to go, Thats where the trouble started. My house is a two level ranch. Trying to keep an eye on the two guys loading stuff and the driver still tagging stuf was a nightmare. My first mistake was saying to myself hey they are professionals and im in good hands. Was I ever wrong. It took all day long to load the truck, from sun up to beyond sun down. After it was packed and they left I found they had trash every where outside. You would have thought they would at least pick up after themselves. They arrived the day as predicted. The bad part was it was a rainy day Nov 23rd just a few days from Thanksgiving. First I was informed that I had to pay cash or they wouldnt unload. Then after fighting with the home office and reminding them I was told I could pay on the other end with a chanrge cards things looked bright. The the driver told me the cards had been refused, not because I was over my limit but because they wouldnt show payment in thier account for a day or two. Now this was American Express who doesnt trust them righht. Wrong. I finally found a charge card of my girl frienmds that would post as soon asw they wanted. They unloaded pretty fast as they wanted to get home for the holidays, by fast I mean as fast as molasses coulod flow on a cold day. The one mover had to repeatedly be told where to take things and then he just put it anyplace he wanted. Trying to watch them unload and see that all my goods where if fact unloaded was inpossible. So again I told myself they are professonals and I was in good hands. After they said it was all unloaded I asked if several items had been unloaded, OH Yes Mister Wxxxx its in the garage. Bang another moment of me trusting the professionals. Then they kept giving me this tripod looking thing that was nothing of mine. I told them its not mine, they replied its with your stuff its yours. I finallyh had to put it back on the van myslef (I'm sure the owner never got it). Then I was told ok sign that you got everything and its in good shape, being tired myself and way too trusting of my fellow man, and trying to get them along to thier familys I signed. The next day I realized just how many things had no been unloaded that I knew very well had been loaded on the other end. I tried calling the driver, no answer. Called Neighbors no answer, then was told that so and so would be getting backl to me. Yeah days later after I called several more times. Now its monday the 30th and there is no way this driver is gonna remember taking off or not taking off my stuff. I was sent the paper work to file a claim total loss to me was over 8,000.00 this was the replacement cost of the goods damaged or lost. It took me a few months to check and double check things and make sure i had not made any claims in error. I mailed it off thinking they surely will make good on this. Well today I got my reply, they want to pay me 150.00. Oh and the stuff the didnt pay on they say you signed the paperwork saying that was all we took, you signed the paper work saying if we jacked stuff up youd settle for. 60 on the pound, and I did being the trusting person I am and being reassured by they driver all was in good hands. He might as well stuck a gun in my back and told me to hand over the goods. This company not only betrayed my trust in them and allowing them to move my stuff but then the drove a knife in me saying they would only pay 150.00 for over 8,000.00 in lost and damged goods. Please do not trust this company with your treasures or for anything they will rip you off and then tell you well you signed here. Final tally 1 missing vending truck, 1 missing two wheel hand cart, 1 missing wheel barrow, and a weather station broke beyond use, 1 exotic cherry wood dinning room table gouged on the top, two dinning room chairs scratched, a mountain bike that didnt make it, 1 refrigerator that had a big sratch and dent across the front door, an exstension ladder that didnt make it, a weed wacker that had been dropped and the fill tank busted, an entertainment center the I can no longer use the glass doors on because they broke the fittings, and a radial arm thats stand is bent badly
