Attorney Paul Moses II charged over $33,000 in fees (flat fixed) for a divorce. This cost was supposed to include everything "whatever it takes." After 3 months of doing next to nothing and little to no communication on his part, we have a mediation that lasted many hours. He came to the mediation with little information, knowledge or paperwork regarding the case. After informing him that I we are getting nowhere, he tells me that my divorce would cost an additional $100,000 to go to trial and that I should settle.
Moses lied, was completely deceiving and basically went through the motions of being an attorney but did nothing on my behalf. He was expecting us to go to mediation and get me to settle on whatever so that he would not have to do any work for my money. These fees included over $18,000 for divorce and other filings he insisted I do stating never go against your attorneys advice.
