I took my son into the famous footwear in Griffin, Ga to buy back to school shoes. He picked out the pair he wanted and we went to pay. They rang up for 54.99 and they were supposed to be on sale for 39.99. When we questioned this, the store manager walked back to look at the sign. All of the sketchers hotlights were together and under several signs that had a sale sign saying 54.99 and on sale for 39.99. The store manager said they were put in the wrong place. The entire selection was there. He tried to give us different shoes. He then offered us a 4.00 discount. The up front people refused to give us the number for the ditrict manager. After several complaints the store manager gave it to my husband. The district manager was of no help. I proceeded to call customer service. I spoke to someone there who was very nice (which was a change from the rude response we had gotten until that point). She was not able to help, but connected me to a supervisor. The supervisor was unable to help also. She told me they had to stand behind the store manager. What is the point of customer service if you stand behind the store manager and refuse to help the customer. I have worked in retail and know that if an item is marked on sale, whether it is correct or not, you have to sell it for that item. That didn't happen. We found the same item for a better price at a competitor store. We will NEVER shop their again. I have cut up my rewards card.
