Synergy Management Bad Company - Stay Away!

I can only be thankful for word of mouth. While at work, several people were talking about this company. I, in need of a new windshield listened closely, very closely. Nothing said about this company was anything close to being remotely positive. I heard that these people go door to door, and I for one have no problem with anyone trying to make a living, just as long as they do it within the legal boundaries of the law.

Just my luck, the very next day, which was my day off, one of their representatives knocked on my door. As I already mentioned, I am in need of a new windshield thanks to having to travel I-26 daily. The guy was very nice, but was rather crude wanting me to walk with him to my car. He did say that they were doing some windshield replacements in my area, at no cost, and was wanting to help out a couple of more people.

First of all, I do reside in the West Ashley area, but not within the City of Charleston city limits. I did ask to see his license, and just as it had been spoken about at work, it clearly stated City of Charleston, and the name on the license wasn't Coast to Coast Auto Glass, but Synergy Management instead. I questioned the rep why the license wasn't under Coast to Coast Auto Glass, and he quickly tried to dart around my question. After a few more attempts, he finally said that Synergy Management was a marketing firm hired to market Coast to Coast Auto Glass.

After having heard all that my coworkers spoke about, every alarm was sounding in my head. I asked him for a business card, and he quickly stated that he ran out about an hour ago. The funny thing about that was, was one of my coworkers stated that his rep said the same thing when he asked him for a business card.

By now, the rep was actually looking at my windshield without my permission, constantly telling me that I could get a ticket for my windshield. As persistent as humanly possible, he tried to get me to tell him who my insurance company was. Finally, I told him my card was in the house, so I went in and called my insurance agent. I have State Farm insurance, and do carry full coverage, but my agent, when hearing the name Coast to Coast Auto Glass, began telling me of ALL the on-going complaints he has been receiving about this company.

After confirming everything from my agent, I called the Charleston County Sheriff's Department. According to the person I spoke with, they have received numerous complaints about this company and would send a deputy out into my neighborhood. I went back out and the rep was writing my vehicle's information on one of their invoices. I told him I had changed my mind and that I wasn't interested in doing business with his company.

He continued on writing and talking, even though I had already said I wasn't interested. Finally, to get him to leave my property, I told him that I had already called the police. Then, the rep proceeded to walk down the road at a very quick pace. Here's my problem, if this company is really legitimate, then why would their sales rep almost run away after hearing I had called the police? For one thing, I am truly glad I had listened to my coworkers. Seems like, not all rumors are simply just rumors.

As fate would have it, later that very same day, a young man from another auto glass company knocked on my door. This time, this sales rep wasn't pushy and was very, very professional. I did listen to everything he had to say, and before I could ask, he produced a business card. I did ask him about a business license, and very politely, he produced several copies of various business license, eventually handing me a copy of a Charleston County and City of Charleston Business License WITH their company's name on it. He also went on to say that his company was on every insurance companies preferred glass program. This time, I told him I would call my agent first, and all he did was smile and asked me if I would like to use his phone to make the call.

I did, and my agent supported this company 100%. He called my insurance company and it didn't take long at all before I was being scheduled for a new windshield, the very next day. Prior to him leaving, I did get a bunch his business cards, but I also asked him if he had ever heard about Coast to Coast Auto Glass. Still being the professional, he did say he had heard of them, but he couldn't offer any comments.

In all honesty, I have no problems with people going door to door. I can only imagine how tedious that must be. But, just as a reminder to everyone who reads this, not ALL sales people are bad! They are just trying to make a living too, and I for one, can certainly understand and appreciate that. Not only did the installer call me the next day, but as promised, I got me a new windshield without any problems whatsoever. The very next day, I got a call from this company's General Manager asking about my windshield, then proceeded to give me his personal cell phone number in case any problems arises.

Talk about customer service! I had no problems passing out my sales rep's business cards at work, knowingly promoting this company's exceptional service.in the meantime, it seems that the word is spreading quickly to avoid anyone stating that he/she is from Coast to Coast Auto Glass. Hopefully, if the word gets around to everyone, then maybe we wont ever have to worry about this company ever again.

Spread the word please!!!
