As owner of Butler & Associates Private Investigations, I have taken cases from other private investigators many times and never had a problem receiving payment. ICS (International Counterintelligence Services) of Scottsdale, Arizona is another story. My firm is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and accepted two cases from Tom Kane and Haydn Bronte of ICS on a "rush" basis. They sounded desperate and we wanted to help them... We were guaranteed by both men that we would be paid for our services within 30 days. Needless to say, we performed surveillance services on both cases, submitted the reports and DVDs, and were never paid. It is unfortunate that such unprofessionalism exists in our profession in which one PI agency rips off another. If your agency has been contacted by ICS or Tom Kane or Haydn Bronte, it would be wise to decline their case.
As for ICS's clients, my investigators have gone out to contact the Subjects of each ICS case to advise them of the ICS surveillance performed on them.
