I worked for this company several times, although the first time should have taught me.
The first time I worked there I made it through training week, but I was young and it was too much for me. Waited on my paycheck. Only to get it 16 hours short. After much arguing with them... And proof of my attendance. I still didn't get paid. That was back when the company in the mall was APAC... Although that is a different company altogether there were many of the same complaints back then.
2nd time... Shorted 22 hours... Argued. Never paid.
3rd time... Shorted MANY hours but I had a child to support and couldn't quit no matter how horrible the job was. Month after month I was shorted on commission or hourly pay... Or both. Every paycheck was a struggle arguing with the hag in the office, who seemed to have been paid to make sure she screwed us at every angle. (Her previous work history from rumor included embezzlement... Please note, I did say RUMOR)
Being part time I was required to put in 30 hours a week to make my commission. Now on the campaign I was on we had A LOT of down time with paper work and a lot of that was put on what was called "paper time". Somehow it very rarely got filed and more frequently than not was "lost". Not only was I shorted on hourly pay but my commission was YANKED from under my nose.
At the end of year 1 I had figured out that I had been shorted approximated $1500 just for that year... Early the next year I found out my father passed away, attempted to work through it, when I realized my emotions weren't going to be left at the door, I asked to leave because I had just found out my father passed the night before. I was met with a sneer and a snotty attitude that left me even more upset. This being 4 or 5 months into the new year and being shorted another $1200, I quit.
They give you power scripts that are not supposed to be used... Mostly they're used to mislead the consumer... Which if you're ethical you shouldn't use, but it's all about screwing people... Err. I mean sales.
This place does give you a steady paycheck... If they don't bounce. NEVER count on all your hours being on your pay stub. ALWAYS expect to be screwed out of in-house bonuses and other 'incentives'. If you do end up working for this company out of desperation. ALWAYS make sure to write down the time you log into your computer, the time you log out, and any time that should be written down as training or paper time, as well as sales, have your supervisor sign it at the end of the night. That way when your paycheck is wrong, and it will be wrong, you have proof of the work that you did so you can get paid.
