This company is an awful company to work for. They gave me junk to drive and then complained at me when the piece of crap was always breaking down. I probably only cleared about $150.00 per week for the few weeks that I drove for them after I got out of the initial on the job training. Every time that the truck broke down, I would get them at least one DOT ticket, then I would get blamed for it even though the truck went through their safety lane BEFORE I even left their depot. The last breakdown was the last straw... The rear end fell apart on me when I was trying to go through an intersection on a hill in Washington PA and the PA DOT gave them a handful of equipment failure tickets. And instead of just paying the mechanic that towed it to fix it, these idiots sent a wrecker out from Madison Heights VA with a different truck (that was not much better, the fuel injectors were messed up on it.) and to take my truck back to their depot. Does that make any sense??? Also when I got fed up with not making any money because the truck was always broken down, I applied to different companies online and when Harris found out about it, they let me go. Also, it seems as if they have blackballed me in the trucking industry as I cannot get on with any other carrier. I have been searching for a year. I do not know yet what they are telling everyone now, but before they were saying that I have a logbook violation. All I can think of for that one is that when I was in training, I made one mistake and then corrected it, but I am waiting for a report from Hire Right, and when I get it, I will post it here as well. I do not feel that it is right that a big company like this can tell everyone things about a driver that are not true and get away with it. I am a hard worker and would be an asset to any company that hired me.
