I recieved my 8hr cert ffrom a security guard traing school for only $40. I was told that i could find a sercurity job with only having my 8hr cert. Ibrought the daily newspaper and so an ad for security guard. I called and left a message on voicemail.
Within an hour mrs. Rivera returned my call and advised me that she currently had a security position open at the abc studio on west 68th st. I advised her that i only had a 8hr cert she advised that it was ok. She asked a few questions, and told me to come in the next for an interview, and to bring state id, ss, cert and $80.
I asked what the $80 was for and she advised for the drug test and uniform. (might i add that i also reffered a friend to them as well and he was told the same thing) we were given a goup interview (4 people) and was then told that we need all these other classes and cert to qualify for a job, (which for me totaled $274). Fortunately i have not taken any of their classes (personal reasons).
Unfortunately my friend did take the classes and is still unemployed and being told that he can't get any of his money back. As for me i'm in the process of recouping my money. This company has to be STOPPED!!!
I can't believe they had an ad in the daily news!!!
