I purchased a reservation from ADVANCED RESERVATION last Dec. 3. This was intended as a wedding gift for my friend. It's a hotel and lunch cruise package. (The Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel, and Spirit of Washington cruise, respectively). The reservation date is for Dec. 19. Due to weather condition that day (severe snowstorm in DC), my friend was not able to leave her house. She called the hotel to cancel, but the hotel did not entertain the call and said that since it was a "third party" reservation, they have to call advanced reservation instead. Since it was suppose to be a gift, my friend did not have that information and was not able to reach me. (something was wrong with my phone). The Spirit of Washington cruise on the other hand, was more than helpful and was willing to reschedule my friend another cruise date.
