OLSON & IVES, www.olsonives.com has supplied Steve Greene's Business Center Development's retail mail and parcel center clients with their point-of-sale hardware for several years. We put together a POS package that woukld be shipped to each new store. We would then assisit the store owner in installing the hardware and getting it all up and running on their PC. Each POS system cost approximately $4,500. November and December Steve Greene ordered three new POS systems for three new stores. All were billed to BCD and shipped to the new store locations. BCD was on net 30 terms with us and was often past 30 days, but he always paid. He did not pay for these last three orders and some smaller invoices. It has now been a year and owes my company about $14,000. When I noticed in January he was behind in payment I was able to make contact with him and he stated he would call me back. That never happened and of course all my contact efforts from then on have been futile. What really hurts is we gave him exemplary service and often provided the training to his new store owners that BCD should have provided. He had assured me in January that we would be paid. We are not a large company and a $14,000 hit really hurts.
