What a nightmare! To all those who were like me and found out about Wilhelmina through monster.com, saw the salary of 60k, and ended up getting ripped off you are not alone.
I too went to the cattle call interview and was told that after the training period, which only lasts a week, I would recieve base salary of $600.00/week. I ended up working about two months and only made about $70.00 in my entire time spent at Wilhelmina. I was expected to scout for 40 hours per week and ended up spending about 30.00/week in gas going to locations to scout. This is wrong! Wilhelmina not only makes money by scamming talent, they make it by paying slave wages to employees. $70.00 for two months of work? Full time? Come on!
I propose a class action lawsuit by former employees of Wilhelmina Slave Network. Their employment practices are unfair and they are trying to get around labor laws.
