We have had a very similar experience to that of Tn in San Jose. We contracted with Mortgage Relief Law Center in February. Through a very diligent sales rep we signed a contract, paid in full, and was told "underwriting" approved our application all with in 5 days. From that point on we could never communicate with anyone or get an update on our application. After three months of frustration I made an unscheduled visit to the Monte Claire office. Only to find that no attorney is there and they rarely see him (Brian Colombana). I viewed the application they had prepared and learned that it was a downloaded form from the bank and that it had many errors. They had prepare no "case" for us. Being very dissatisfied I located the Law Offices in Irvine and insisted on a meeting with Brian Colombana.in the meeting with the attorney he admitted to dropping the ball and promised to redo our application and expedite it. It has been 6 months and we still do not have a Loan Modification. Our home which was NOT in foreclosure when we contracted with Mortgage Relief has gone to foreclosure. Three sale dates have come and gone. Our home would have gone to sale in any one of the dates if it were not for OUR efforts the get them postponed with the bank. Their applications keep getting denied by the bank. They claim there is a "new program" we can try again for. No one person is ever familiar with our case. The documents and information we provide is always "not found" in the file. No one is available to speak with us and our calls are never returned. When we do speak with someone they only contradict what may have been discussed with another. We have confirmed through the bank that they have failed to provide the services we hired them to do. They do not offer any expertise. They are a "mill" and it is all about the numbers. A few applications are bound to get approved! I strongly believe they lie and ply upon the fears of homeowners. We are trying to get our money back.
