I signed up with Origin Cleaning Systems in July and started cleaning the 16th of July. We were told by two different people that because we started in the middle of the month they would prorate and we would get a small check to be paid on Aug 31 (the contract states the checks will be mailed on the last day of the month for work completed in the prior month) but when we called in Sept first we were told the checks were mailed on the 31st, then we were told they were mailed on the 1st. I called on the 4th and was told they were mailed the 2nd. I asked to talk to Howard and they took a message. I did not receive a call back. Bob talked to Patrick who told him he didnt know anything about the checks and we would have to talk to Howard. I called and left messages for Howard twice a day for a week with no response. I finally called the next week and Howard took the call. He told me we would be paid by the contract and we were $107.00 in the hole. I asked him why he didnt send the statement we agreed to pay for and he said they only send them out with checks. We would get a check next month. I asked why someone didnt tell us this sooner. He said he told Patrick to call us back. I told him what Patrick had told Bob and he said Patrick knows about how the checks are paid. I asked him why he didnt return my calls because in the contract if we get a call from them we have to call back within 2 hours. Howard said he didnt have to call me back at all.
We waited until the next month when we should have been paid over $1,000.00 and had the same issue of no check in the mail. We called several times and finally Bob got a hold of Howard on the 5th and was told checks had been mailed but if we didnt get a check to let him know and he would issue another check on Tues. Bob went to pick up the check and Howard gave him a check sealed in an envelope. When he got out to his truck he opened it and the check was only $340.00 and there was no statement. He went back in and told them they were short. He finally got another check for $474.00. He asked for a statement and was given a form that should be used for each month but they had a mess combining 2 months and he did not have all of our accounts on it. We finally decided to give them one more month because we have to give 60 days notice if we want to cancel an account. We did give one 60 day notice and was told after a week and a half that they had another cleaner to take over the account and we could bring in the keys, so we did. Then we were told later they lost the account because we just turned in the keys and they had no other cleaner to take over. When Bob told Howard Patrick called for the keys to give to the new cleaner Patrick denied this. Howard also took keys for the one big job we had saying we were not doing the job to his satisfaction. We still had three accounts we were doing once a week. We were called and asked for duplicate keys and Bob took them in on Oct 26th. When he asked for a receipt for the keys because he wanted proof that they did receive them, Howard got very mad and two days later Bob got a call from Cindy to get the keys for the other accounts. No reason, just turn in the keys, that they would get us other accounts later. Again Bob told Cindy we needed a receipt and then he gave her the keys. Howard said we would get paid per our contract for the balance owed. On the 2nd we received an email stating Howard was terminating our business agreement, effective immediately, per the terms of our agreement due to non-performance.
We have never missed a day of cleaning any account. We only received a couple of issues which was due to misunderstanding of what was originally expected but once we heard what other things the client wanted we complied and had no other reports. We have not received the money for our back pay either. At this point Origin Cleaning Systems owes us $1,882.00 which it looks as though he will not pay us any of this amount.
