I found Mr Fischer doing a search on yahoo and decided to contact him regarding an issue with the telephone provider of my business, who had increased the per minute charge over 40% without notice or reason, were less than helpful and made it difficult to more to another provider.
My first encounter with Mr Fischer was a delightful experience. He came across very professional and confident after listening to my situation, and stated that he could help me for a fixed fee which I felt was very reasonable. So, after being charmed I decided to instruct Mr Fischer to help with my telephone billing issues.
Mr Fischer wrote to my provider, detailed the issues and the amount of refund he felt I should receive. Over the space of approximately six weeks many letters exchanged hands and I felt we were getting somewhere. Then, suddenly, my provider gave me seven days to move to another provider as they were closing the account. Seven days to move a virtual switchboard with multiple digital lines was certainly not enough time so I called Mr Fischers mobile phone and left a message. Worried about the situation I called the telephone provider to ask what was going on and was put on hold to speak to a manager who proceeded to inform me that Mr Fischer, on my behalf, was trying to blackmail them into the refund and because of this behaviour, they did not wish to deal with me any further and would use these threats in court against me. I was shocked and certain they were using this as a smoke screen however they informed me that letters, that I was supposedly aware of and on my behalf, stated that bad reviews about their company would appear on www.canyoutrustthem.com unless the refund was received and that their solicitors were looking into this as a matter of commercial blackmail. After demanding to see such letters they faxed a single letter that indeed, on my behalf, threatened such activities.
The same evening Mr Fischer returned my call and I explained how I never gave permission for such letters and he proceeded to try and convince me that his tactics were winning, that they were scared and to stay with the strategy. At this point he told me to sleep on it which I agreed.
The next morning Mr Fischer called me to see how I wanted to proceed. I agreed to proceed providing I was not put in any situations I was not happy with which he agreed and proceeded to tell me about the next stage of his strategy which involved further money. This I did not agree with as we had agreed to work on a fixed fee, which he explained that the fixed fee was only to get to this point, which is certainly not what we agreed. At this point I felt it best to walk away and I told him I would like to end our dealings together.
This is the point where Mr Fischer let his guard down and what I believe to be the real person underneath revealed himself. Mr Fischer stated that unless I continue or pay the fee for the next stage I would be breaking our verbal agreement and as such my business, including my personal name, and home address and telephone number would be featured on his website www.canyoutrustthem.com. The charming gentleman changed to what I can only describe as a bitter and aggressive man that just wanted my money. Reluctantly I agreed to pay half of the 600 he wanted to avoid my details being on such a website and this is why I write this to warn anyone thinking of using his services.
I have since found out that Mr Fischer is not a solicitor and is using his www.canyoutrustthem.com to find potential business for his www.smallclaims. Uk.com to pull in victims like myself.
If you have a problem that needs address, please seek a solicitor that is regulated by the www.lawsociety.org. Uk and not predators such as Mr Fischer. I have made my local police in surrey aware of Mr Fischer, as well as my local trading standards who are investigating the matter, but I am told that they are well aware of Mr Fischer.
