First priority claims to be "experts" in fire, water and smoke damage. We had a flood in the basement and my husband hired this company to clean our carpets and help rectify the dampness in our home. Imagine my shock when I get home from work and find that my husband paid this company $480.00 to clean the carpet in six average size rooms, a couch, a loveseat and chair.
We have had the same areas cleaned in the past and the most we ever paid was $150.00. I was very upset about the price but my husband assured me that this company was "expert" at cleaning and our insurance company would reimburse us for the cleaning. It took almost 24 hours for the carpet to dry, which is not a good sign. Within days, stains began to reappear in every room and there was a distinct dog urine odor in our bedroom.
Our insurance company did not pay for the cleaning since there was no cleaning that took place in the basement - which is where the flood took place. I have called "first priority" at least four times and have faxed them but have gotten no response. All they have listed for an address is a post office box. It looks like they took advantage of us because we were desperate after our basement flooded. They didnt even honor the "$50.00 off" coupon that had been left in our mailbox as an advertisement.
These people are rip off artists. They put the advertising coupons in all of our neighbors mailboxes and i am hoping that nobody else got scammed like we did. I could have gotten new carpet installed in our master bedroom and had the whole house cleaned for the $480.00 that they charged us. I am sure that they are not responding to our calls because they made a killing off of the "job" that they did on our house". Do not hire this company, you will be ripped off. I have reported them to the better business bureau and my next step is to take them to small claims court.
