I was at a seminar with other financial advisors and someone recommended Pro2Pro Network, so I signed up for service. Though I was a little hesitant since it is ran by a Chiropractor, what does a chiropractor know about marketing for a financial advisor, this should have been my first warning sign. Anyway the contract was 6 months for $6000.in turn Pro2Pro was supposed to get me at least 4 meetings with either CPAs or Estate Planning Attorneys in the area where my office is to discuss exchanging referrals. My account manager explained to me from the start that these would be professionals that deal with similar clients as mine (individuals about to or already retired).instead what I got was meetings with tax preparers (Not CPAs), Divorce Attorneys, and professionals that deal with small business not individuals. I was patient and gave it two months until I realized this was pretty much a rip off. These guys got so lazy they started asking me if I would accept a booth at a local fair instead of appointments. What the heck? It was at this point that I asked them to stop booking my appointments, they didn't they just keep booking meetings with any warm body they could find. Essentially I could hire a high school kid to grab a phone book and call anyone to ask them if they want to meet. This is not what I was promised and I have better things to do then to meet with other professionals that don't work with the same type of client that I do. Today I got a call from an attorney they wanted me to meet and she confessed to me that has been retired for several years has no clients and was hoping I could restart her career through my clients! She told me she had warned Pro2Pro Network that she had nothing to offer, but they talked her into taking the meeting anyway. These guys are not looking out for your best interest, they just want your money by flooding you with crappy leads. So I have told these guys I feel they never lived up to their obligations so the contract is void. These guys are now claiming that since I am canceling the contract I now owe them another $7500! Nice people right. They don't take any responsibility, the moment who complain they start threatening lawsuit. STAY AWAY & SAVE YOUR MONEY! You can do what these guys do yourself, just hire a high school kid and have them work the yellow pages you will save thousands and a huge headache!
