Today, September 21, a woman claiming to be a High School student came to my door selling magazine subscriptions. She said she would earn points toward a trip with the subsriptions she sold. Before I knew it I had let her take some of my money and she barged out the door. There are a few things that I caught on to, but being a non-confrontational person, I didn't say anything at the time, regrettably. First of all, she was WAY too old to be a HS student, and second of all, she said she was homeschooled. I myself was homeschooled so I KNOW what they look and sound like, she was NOT homeschooled. Thirdly, she was TOO smooth to be a HS student. Her spiel was great. The receipt said Face to Face Technologies on it, and had a blacked out email address that I could still read that said [email protected]. Along with the phone number 303-674-8252. When I called that number they ADAMANTLY told me they were not part of the scam. Totally a run-around. If you Google any one of these things, you will see multipe reports of scams. Don't be FOOLED! Don't be like me, use your intuition and when someone looks and sounds too good to be true, believe yourself.
