I purchased 5 new triple pained replacement windows from Remodel America, with written promise and guarantee that it would reduce my energy bill by 49% or I would be reimbursed. After my year, they have disappeared!
I have call all three offices, 1 in Nashville, Georgia, and the one in North Carolina, none answered their phone or the phones have been disconnected. All mail returned.
I have contacted both the BBB, consumer affairs and went as far as contacting my local tv station for investigation-they found that Remodel America (located on Linbar Dr in Nashville Tn) left their business owes the landlord back rent with no forwarding address, they have NOT filed bankruptcy and the actual Remodel America located in Memphis was after the Remodel America in Nashville for using their name. Remodel America in Nashville has never filed a financial report or any report to the Secretary of State.
There is now a new company using the exact same sales tactic that Remodel America did, promising it will reduce your electric bill by 49% or your money back! I have contacted that company and ask if they were the same and they said no, but the owner did use to work for Remodel America so that is leading me to think that Remodel America has done nothing more than changed their name but I am not able to link them by tax id due to privacy issues.
